Porterville Military Academy has the distinguished honor of not having just one, but two Cadets who have been nominated to all four U.S. service academies.

Cadets Andrew Dohnke and Jonathan Witherspoon-Ramirez, both seniors, have been nominated to all four U.S. Military academies by Congressman David Valadao. They were nominated to the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, N.Y., the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Valadao's nomination is a level of endorsement required for those seeking entrance to a service academy. It's an extremely competitive process as Congressional members are only allowed to nominate 10 applicants per academy per year from their district.
