A fugitive inmate in Georgia, Timothy Shane , used an Uber to escape authorities after fleeing from Grady Hospital in Atlanta on Monday (December 1). Shane, 52, had been taken to the hospital for a medical examination following a suicide attempt but managed to escape custody at around 1:20 a.m. According to the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office, Shane is considered armed and dangerous.

Shane's escape follows a series of criminal activities , including a high-speed chase and a possible kidnapping attempt on November 23. Initially arrested by the Conyers Police Department, Shane was involved in a pursuit that spanned county lines and ended with his capture.
