Investigators are searching for a man who is suspected of setting a dog on fire in Forestville, Maryland, Monday night. The dog didn't survive.
Firefighters found the dog's body once they put out the fire in a wooded area near Cross Street and Pumphrey Drive about 6:30 p.m., Prince George's County Fire and EMS said.

Multiple people who called 911 said they saw a man pour gasoline on the dog and set it on fire, the fire department said.
The dog then ran to the wooded area, setting some brush on fire, officials said.
Officials said they believe the dog was a pit bull.
