BLOOMINGTON — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the discovery of a deceased individual in a wooded area this afternoon.

Officers confirmed they responded to the scene at approximately 1:34 p.m. today, near the intersection of Union Valley Road and West Maple Grove Road.

The investigation into the circumstances of the death is ongoing. Authorities stated that at this preliminary stage, foul play is not suspected.
