HUNTINGBURG — A Dubois man was arrested Monday by detectives from the Huntingburg Police Department following a lengthy investigation into online child exploitation. Christopher Wilson, 51, of Dubois, was taken into custody on December 1, 2025.

The arrest follows charges of vicarious sexual gratification, a Level 4 felony, and child solicitation, a Level 5 felony.

The investigation began on October 21, 2025, after the Huntingburg Police Department reviewed a Cyber Tip Report received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

According to police, the tip, which originated from the social media platform Instagram, detailed an adult male communicating with a minor female under the age of 16. Authorities successfully identified Wilson as the user of the Instagram
