DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - We’ve all seen those star ratings – on everything from movies to mattresses.
But did you know hospitals get them, too?
Medicare ranks hospitals from 1 to 5 stars depending on how they perform in dozens of categories.

Only 54% of patients get appropriate care for sepsis, according to Medicare. 6% of patients leave the ER before being seen. That’s three times the national average.
MercyOne Genesis declined an invitation to go on camera, instead providing a statement that said the hospital has received recent accolades and that the Davenport campus takes on some of the most complex cases in the region. MercyOne also pointed to criticisms of the way Medicare issues it
