DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - We’ve all seen those star ratings – on everything from movies to mattresses.

But did you know hospitals get them, too?

Medicare ranks hospitals from 1 to 5 stars depending on how they perform in dozens of categories.

Some Quad-Cities hospitals aren’t faring well. MercyOne Genesis in Davenport gets just 1 star.

Only 54% of patients get appropriate care for sepsis, according to Medicare. 6% of patients leave the ER before being seen. That’s three times the national average.
