SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Regional Arts Council is facing backlash from the artist community it serves due to its alleged use of generative AI.

After reportedly using AI to generate several images for holiday events, the Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) is facing backlash from the community it serves.

Many artists have been commenting on SRAC posts, and some artists have even given bad reviews on sites like Google.

Artists also began to report that they had been blocked from accessing the council’s Facebook page.

SRAC released a statement about the issue Tuesday evening (Dec.2). That statement reads:
