County aims to use portion of tax revenue to keep transit services fare

Frederick County plans to use a portion of taxes from property transfers to keep the county's transit system free of fares for riders.

At a press conference Tuesday, County Executive Jessica Fitzwater and some members of the Frederick County Council announced the plans to shift part of the county's recordation tax to create a permanent funding source for the transit service.
