ROCHESTER, Minn. — Hy-Vee and local first responders teamed up to provide 300 free hams to families in need in Rochester. The distribution took place on Tuesday, at the Rochester Armory on Marion Road Southeast.
This effort was part of Hy-Vee's Hams for the Holidays campaign in collaboration with Hormel Foods. The initiative aimed to distribute a total of 5,000 hams across 20 locations within Hy-Vee’s nine-state region this holiday season. Now in its eighth year, the campaign addressed food insecurity and supported families during the holiday season.
Brett VonBank, Store Director at Hy-Vee, Rochester, talked about the importance of community support. "It's always been in our nature to do good when we can. It's just great coming together to be able to give back to the community," VonBank
