Western Dubuque senior Quentin Nauman took the victory in the shorter 2.5-mile race on Thanksgiving
The annual Thanksgiving Turkey Trot races traditionally offer a mishmash of postcollegiate, collegiate and high school runners and this year was no exception.
The 53rd annual Wahlert High School Turkey Trot in Dubuque offered a who's who of names in Iowa distance running and leads off this edition of the WEEKEND UPDATE of the best performances by Iowa-based collegiate and postcollegiate distance runners and triathletes.
Western Dubuque senior Quentin Nauman, without a doubt the greatest prep male distance runner in Iowa history, took the victory in the shorter 2.5-mile race on Thursday, Nov. 27. Nauman, a University of Oregon commit, ran 13 minutes, 35 seconds for a 5:26 pace per mile.
