RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Nevada Highway Patrol arrested a juvenile in connection with a chain-reaction collision that closed southbound Interstate 580 lanes and a ramp near Mill Street on Monday, Dec. 1, according to an agency news release.

The incident began after a trooper tried to stop a Toyota sedan being driven recklessly, the release said.

The driver of the Toyota fled then lost control near the southbound I580 Plumb Lane on-ramp.

The Toyota crossed into another lane and struck a sports utility vehicle.

This crash pushed the sports utility vehicle into a pickup.

The juvenile driver of the Toyota was transported to a local hospital with non-life threating injuries.

The occupants of the other vehicles also had non-life threating injuries.
