DECORAH, Iowa — Luther College recently received a significant $2.2 million gift from the estate of Judith (Lueder) Torson '62 and Doug Torson.
The unrestricted gift aims to inspire further generosity and support various initiatives at the college. "This gift is truly going to serve as a catalyst," said Mary Duvall, vice president for advancement. She emphasized that the donation will aid enrollment efforts, enhance leadership development, and support the Luther Fund.
The Luther College Board of Regents has approved the funds for Gerdin Fieldhouse challenge funding and enrollment marketing, among other areas.
