FAYAL TOWNSHIP, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A man is in the hospital after a shooting Tuesday evening near Eveleth.

According to Eveleth Police, it happened just before 4 p.m. on River Drive in Fayal Township.

Officers responded on reports of a shooting.

A man was found at the scene with a gunshot wound.

He was rushed to a hospital in Duluth.

His condition is unknown.

Another man was arrested and is in jail awaiting formal charges.

The Minnesota BCA is on scene to help process the crime scene.

An investigation is ongoing.
