PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Multiple towns and cities in Rhode Island went to the polls Tuesday to fill the three open council seats.

According to unofficial election results, Democrat Jill Davidson won the majority of votes to fill the Providence City Council Ward 2 seat.

The Providence City Council Ward 2 seat election results:

Jill Davidson (D): 94.83%

Axel Brito (R): 3.88%

Write-in: 1.29%

In North Providence, Democrat Nicholas Anthony Feola won the District 2 election with over 81% of votes.

The North Providence District 2 election results:

Nicholas Anthony Feola (D): 81.38%

Joseph J. Giammarco (I): 13.32%

Brian Michael Quirk (I): 5.3%

Independent Bonnita B. Van Slyke won the most votes to fill a town council seat for the Town of Charlestown.
