DURHAM, N.C. (WBTV) - Former North Mecklenburg star and current Duke Blue Devil Isaiah Evans hit the game-winning shot against the Florida Gators on Tuesday night.

With the No. 4 Blue Devils (9-0) trailing No. 15 Florida (5-3) by two with less than 25 seconds to play in the game, freshman phenom Cameron Boozer found Evans, who drained his only made three of the game to give Duke a one-point lead over the 2025 National Champions at 67-66.

Although it wasn’t the best shooting night for Evans, who was 1-for-8 from behind the arc, he was lights out on the defensive side as he collected five blocks to go along with 13 points.

On the season, the former Viking is averaging 12.5 points, 0.9 blocks, 1.9 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game for the Blue Devils.
