Dave Coulier , who played Joey on Full House , has been diagnosed with a second type of cancer, just seven months after he completed treatment for Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. “A couple of months ago, I had a PET scan, and something flared on the scan,” the Full House actor told the TODAY show on December 2. “The doctor said, ‘We don’t know what it is, but there’s something at the base of your tongue.’” After several tests and assessments, with the most recent one happening in October, he learned that he had cancer again; this time, they found P16-positive oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, a type of tongue cancer. “They said it’s totally unrelated to my non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
