On Tuesday at 9:42 p.m. a special weather statement was issued by the National Weather Service until Wednesday at 8 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana.

"Area roads remain wet in spots from snowmelt after Tuesday's widespread snow accumulation. As road surface temperatures drop below freezing tonight, any wet spots, especially on untreated roads, may turn to ice and create hazardous travel conditions. Use extra caution if traveling, particularly on bridges, highway exit ramps, and back roads," explains the weather service.
