BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) - The holiday season brings crowds, holiday traffic, and more opportunities for theft, and because of that, Bossier City police are urging shoppers to take simple precautions to stay safe.
“More traffic will be out, and with shoppers comes opportunity for criminals looking for anything of value,” Bossier City Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Shawn Poudrier said. “Always watch your back. Whenever possible, shop with a partner or in groups.”
Online marketplaces such as Facebook Marketplace and eBay are popular ways to buy gifts, but in-person meetups carry risks. The department offers practical guidance for safe transactions.
