PHOENIX — A Peoria 11-year-old has greatly benefited from the incredible programs at Phoenix Children’s—programs funded by generous donations.
Jackson Mieras, known by his family and friends as Jax, has spent a lot of time at Phoenix Children’s Hospital over the years.
“He has Down syndrome and Pediatric Feeding Disorder, but other than that, he’s a very typical 11-year-old boy,” said Amber Mieras, Jackson’s mom.
Jackson shared what he likes to do through a touchscreen. He loves soccer.
“He plays Special Olympics golf and track, he swims, he’s just running and on the go all the time…” his mom said.
He also shared what he likes to eat: Apples and crackers.
When asked who he looks forward to seeing when he visits Phoenix Children’s, he said Ali and Summer with a smile on his face. They
