A student at the University of Oklahoma brought her claim of religious discrimination after failing an essay to state officials, the OU administration and one former public figure who knows her perhaps better than anyone — her mom.
OU officials are investigating Samantha Fulnecky's claims after the junior majoring in psychology received a zero on an essay assigned in a psychology course. In her essay, she reacted to an article about how people are perceived based on societal expectations of gender. Fulnecky defended traditional gender rules, using the Bible to back her argument.
