OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Temperatures will be at their warmest as we start off our Wednesday.

We will be in the low to mid 30s around 7 AM but temps will retreat as a cold front moves southeast through the area.

Scattered flurries to light snow showers will be possible through about 10 AM with little to no accumulation.

As the morning goes on, cold air will rush into the area and temps will fall through the 20s.

With north winds that could gust up to 30 miles per hour into the afternoon, the wind chill will be down into the single digits.

The slide continues through the night and temps will drop below zero for the first time this season by Thursday morning.

Wind chills will be in the -10 to -20 range as the day begins; this is the reason for our First Alert 6 Weather Day Thursday .
