LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - December is hanging onto the cold, and today is no exception. A few stray flurries will drift around from time to time, and we’ll see even more of those later tonight into Thursday morning as another cold front drops in from the north. That front helps set the table for a southern system that could play a role in our weather heading into the end of the week.

Temperatures today really depend on whether you have snow on the ground. Snow-covered areas will stay noticeably colder, and if clouds hold tough, many of us may struggle to get above freezing again. With those clouds lingering, don’t be surprised if a few light flakes sneak through early on.
