Asked & Answered been tracking pothole problems on Stagecoach Road for almost a year after our viewer Mr. Harold in Bloomingdale wrote in about serious traffic safety concerns.

We have an update.

After our most recent report on the situation just a few weeks ago, Bloomingdale City Manager Charles Akridge has sent out a series of letters to four borrow pit owners asking for funding to repair Stagecoach.

Stagecoach Road is a main artery that runs through Bloomingdale connecting Chatham and Effingham Counties.

Akridge says the problem is coming from the Effingham County side.

He says dump trucks from the Effingham borrow pits are causing the most wear and tear on Stagecoach.

The City of Bloomingdale is now holding the borrow pit owners accountable.
