A new domestic abuse support service has launched to help more people in need.
Anglia Care Trust (ACT), a charity based in Martlesham, has been commissioned by the police and crime commissioner for Suffolk, Tim Passmore, to deliver the Next Steps Service, supporting those identified by police as needing 'Standard' risk domestic abuse support.
Amanda Page, operational manager at Anglia Care Trust, said: "Every referral we receive will get an initial call where we’ll put together a safety plan.
"From there it is very much about what each victim needs from us, unpacking their immediate wants and needs before offering an ongoing support service where we can put together a family support plan.
