MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WSAZ) - West Virginia University brought back an old holiday tradition for the first time in 14 years on December 2.

The lights came back on in front of a large WVU crowd.

Students gathered in front of Woodburn for the ceremony, where they could also get a cup of hot chocolate to keep them warm.

President Michael T. Benson, who joined the university in July, said he saw a picture of the building lit up and wondered why it no longer happened.

The last time Woodburn Hall was lit up was in 2011.
