A family has been reunited with their missing dog nearly two years after he disappeared in what has been described as a "Christmas miracle".
Prince, a white Maltese, vanished from West Lothian on June 1, 2024, sparking a huge community search involving friends, neighbours, and volunteer drone operators. The desperate hunt even reached America.
Posters were put up, hours of CCTV was trawled through, and appeals were shared on social media tens of thousands of times but no leads ever came to light.
The heart-breaking loss was sharp for the Dalrymple family. Their daughter, Alisha Dalrymple, 21, a student in Dundee, said it felt like "losing a family member". Feeling helpless, she prayed for a "Christmas miracle" last week.
