Motorists could be hit with steeper diesel prices at petrol stations due to unfolding global political developments. Diesel drivers across England may find themselves vulnerable to the consequences of US President Donald Trump's possible military involvement in South America.

Trump's political manoeuvring in South America threatens to send oil prices rocketing skyward, experts have cautioned. This follows the President's calls for military intervention in Venezuela.

Via his Truth Social platform, President Trump declared that Venezuelan airspace would be "closed in its entirety". The warning was directed at "all airlines, pilots, drug dealers and human traffickers", he stated.
