Morning snow across the Denver area on Wednesday slicked up the roads during the morning commute, causing dozens of crashes and shutting down parts of highways.
As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation, road closures included:
Two right lanes of eastbound Interstate 70 from exit 244 for U.S. 6 to exit 248 at Floyd Hill for a stalled vehicle,
Two center lanes of Colorado 470 between Eirckson Boulevard and University Boulevard for a crash,
And the right lane of eastbound U.S. 36 in Broomfield, between East Flatiron Crossing Drive and Wadsworth Boulevard, for a crash.
Several lanes of southbound Interstate 25 were closed in Lone Tree for a crash earlier Wednesday morning, but the highway had fully reopened as of 8:15 a.m., according to state tr
