(CNN) - The Food and Drug Administration said faulty glucose monitors have been linked to at least seven deaths and more than 700 serious injuries across the globe.
The problems have been reported with FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus sensors.
Abbott Diabetes Care said it resolved the problem with those products, but the FDA stated devices that were previously purchased should not be used.
Incorrect readings can cause people to improperly treat their condition, with potentially dire consequences.
More information is available online from Abbott .
