Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin tried to relate to local reporters during his weekly press conference on Tuesday.
The Steelers are 6-6 and have lost five of their last seven games. They haven’t won a playoff game in eight years and are tied for first place in the AFC North. Pittsburgh is tied with Baltimore, but the Ravens hold the tiebreaker going into the first of two matchups in the final month of the season.
Tomlin explained Tuesday why he remains confident in the team to bounce back and play well moving forward.
“Sometimes I answer it in a colorful way, but it’s what we do,” Tomlin said during his weekly press conference.
Tomlin occasionally relates his work to frequent “Tomlinisms,” but today tried to relate to reporters.
“It’s no different than what you guys do,” Tomlin said. “
