A derelict school in East Suffolk could become an adult day care centre with up to 100 homes, as revealed exclusively in new plans.
C3 Planning say 'significant progress' has been achieved towards a mixed development scheme at Peasenhall Primary School, near Saxmundham.
The school closed down in December 2016 and has been left to decay ever since.
The planners say the proposal is now with architects, and between 60 to 100 homes could be proposed in the application - with 25% of them being local social housing and 25% being "genuinely affordable homes".
C3's head of national planning, Mark Mirams, said the school's conversion to a day care centre will provide a space for young people and their carers to meet, alongside social and workshop spaces and Dementia support café facilities.
