Several children have been injured after the roof of a double-decker bus was ripped off when it passed under a bridge.
Police were called shortly after 12.30pm to a report that a school bus had struck a bridge on Spendmore Lane in Coppull, Lancashire .
Around 30 children were assessed by medical staff and eight were treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
An eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a "nasty cut to the head", Lancashire Police said.
The driver and two teachers who were also on board were unhurt, the force added.
