Children are being treated for injuries after their school bus had its roof ripped off in a crash with a low bridge today (Wednesday).

Officers said 'a number of children suffered injuries ' in the collision which are 'thankfully thought to be relatively minor at this time'. They are currently being assessed by paramedics.

Police, paramedics and firefighters rushed to the scene of the incident shortly after 12.30pm after the double-decker bus collided with a low bridge on Spendmore Road in Coppull this afternoon (December 3), reports LancsLive.
