LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - The United Independent School District has released a statement regarding a situation with an LBJ student.
“On Friday, November 21, Lyndon B. Johnson administration and the UISD police department were made aware of an inappropriate comment made off campus earlier that morning. Officers immediately initiated an investigation and identified the student involved. The student stated the comment was made in jest.
During the investigation, officers located a weapon inside the student’s vehicle, which was parked at a business near the school. The student was arrested and now faces disciplinary action in accordance with the district’s Student Code of Conduct.
As with all reports or safety concerns, the District promptly notified the parents connected to this situation. UIS
