A disturbance involving a man waving a sex toy at women from his vehicle at a shopping plaza sparked a police response, police announced on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
Melvin G. Barillas-Pinto, 41, of Easton, was found driving through the parking lot at the Promenade Shops located at 3060 Center Valley Parkway in Center Valley, when officers arrived around 5:06 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, according to the upper Saucon Township Police.
Multiple 911 callers reported that a man was harassing several women by waving a sex toy at them from his vehicle, police detailed.
When officers stopped Barillas-Pinto, they determined he was under the influence of alcohol at the scene, authorities said.
Barillas-Pinto was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Open Lewdness, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness, and Reckless Driving, according to the release. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The charges were filed following the incident on Monday, Dec. 1.
