MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Eight student-athletes from West Virginia signed with Division I college football programs (FBS & FCS) on Wednesday, the opening day of the early signing period.

Xavier Anderson (Spring Mills Tight End/Defensive End) – Signed with West Virginia University
As a junior, Anderson led the Cardinals to their first appearance in the state championship. He earned first team Class AAAA All-State honors in 2024 for his work on the Cardinals’ defensive line. Spring Mills went 12-2 that season.
Anderson helped the Cardinals reach the Class AAAA quarterfinals last month. In his senior season, Anderson made 26 catches for 432 yards and nine touchdowns. On defense, Anderson had 18 tackles for loss, 12
