Thirty years went by, until along came the script for One Battle After Another — a satirical take on Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland — with an offer for DiCaprio to star as Bob, an Antifa-like radical gone underground who is forced out of hiding to find his missing daughter ( Chase Infiniti ). But, like PTA’s previous Pynchon adaptation Inherent Vice , there’s a lot more to it
