A pro athlete turned reality TV star has died aged only 39, following a heartbreaking battle with a brain tumour. Roxana Moise found fame on Exatlon Romania, a show inspired by the global telly hit Survivor .
Before appearing on the show, Roxana had been a handball pro. She played for Olchim Ramnicu Valcea, but her pro sport days were cut short by a knee injury sustained in 2012. She spent some time as a referee of the sport and later worked as a fitness instructor.
