ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Authorities are giving an update after a major meth bust in Hall County led to the arrest of three men.

Hundreds of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were found hidden in blackberry shipments in Atlanta and Hall County, according to FBI Atlanta.

The agency said 719 kilos, which is around 1,600 pounds, of the drug were seized on Black Friday.

In Atlanta, 419 kilos were found at a home on Custer Avenue SE “in a shipment of blackberries inside a refrigerated truck parked outside the home,” FBI Atlanta officials said.

The FBI said 300 kilos of meth were found in another refrigerated box truck outside a business on McEver Road in Hall County.

Both shipments are “believed to have been brought into the United States from Mexico.”
