A Met Office weather map is showing exactly how much snow is forecast in the North East this week, as it tells us where and when the snow will arrive, and also how much of it there will be. This comes after a large amount of snow fell in the middle of November.

We already know that the impacted area in the region on Friday will be within County Durham , and that Stanhope is the most notably named place within this, but the map's colours, either white or grey when referring to snowfall, also correspond with the amount of millimetres per hour.

The majority of the area in question is shaded in white, which means a smaller amount of snow, around 0.5mm per hour to be precise.
