LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — According to a release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, more than 100 people were arrested or cited during a four-day human trafficking operation.
Police said the operation targeted sex buyers with undercover female detectives, leading to 18 arrests and citations. That number represents an increase from the 15 arrests and citations at the same time in 2024.
In another operation, police said detectives posed as individuals “appearing to engage in commercial sex” and were approached by traffickers for recruitment. 14 arrests were made in that operation, an increase from 6 in 2024.
Additionally, an undercover operation reached 78 people engaging in commercial sex.
