Pueblo police are asking that drivers stay home unless necessary and take extra precautions on the roads due to inclement weather.
A winter weather advisory was issued for Pueblo County until 8 p.m. Dec. 3.
"We have observed an increase in calls related to vehicle accidents due to winter conditions," police said in a Facebook post Wednesday morning. Please exercise caution while driving and limit travel to essential purposes only. Stay safe on the roads."
If you must travel, police advise drivers to drive slowly, increase following distance, turn on headlights and avoid sudden braking. If you don't need to be out, stay home.
If you are involved in an accident, some calls may qualify for cold reporting online if the following criteria is met:
No one was injured
There were no drugs
