An elderly pedestrian was hospitalized after she was hit by a car in Plainfield on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 3.
Plainfield police Lt. Troy Gelinas said the crash happened near Railroad Avenue and Route 12. An 83-year-old woman was crossing the road when a Chevrolet Tahoe hit her with its passenger mirror.
Gelinas said the injuries were minor and not life-threatening. Paramedics took the woman to Backus Hospital in Norwich for evaluation and treatment.
The driver stayed at the scene, authorities said.
Police are investigating the crash and have not released further details.
