MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - On the hunt for wanted criminals with the Memphis Safe Task Force: Action News 5 asked for, and the White House approved, an exclusive ride-along with one of the fugitive warrant strike teams on Tuesday, December 2.

Before the sun came up, the task force got down to business.

The teams are made up of local, state and federal agents. The agents gathered in an East Memphis parking lot to prep for the day’s door knocks represented the FBI, Homeland Security and Diplomatic Security, all led by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Other teams working the same 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. shift that Action News 5 did not ride with included the DEA and Memphis Police officers.

“We’ve done a lot of homework. They’ve got good information,” lead Marshal Mark Blackwood told Action News 5,
