SEYMOUR, CT. (WFSB) - Two people face animal cruelty charges after police found severely malnourished dogs at a Seymour residence, including an 11-month-old Cane Corso that later died.
Police say that Woodbridge Regional Animal Control received a call on October 27th from a concerned individual regarding animal neglect. With assistance from the Seymour Police Department, an investigation began.
Officers arrived at a Seymour residence and observed two dogs that were severely malnourished and emaciated.
One of the dogs, an 11-month-old Cane Corso, was covered in feces. The dog was immediately transported to an emergency room for treatment.
Animal Control officers were notified that the puppy had died on October 28th.
