COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day had plenty to tend to Wednesday as the early signing period opened.

That overlapped with news of his offensive coordinator, Brian Hartline , accepting the position of head coach at South Florida.

Shortly after USF announced the hire, Day spoke with reporters about Ohio State’s new signing class as well as Hartline’s departure. Here’s what he said about the latter.
