The state’s Supreme Court will consider the appeal of convicted murderer Hassan Sapry.
Sapry, 27, is an Iraqi immigrant who was found guilty of killing another man in the man’s Laconia home in April 2019. He was sentenced in October by a Belknap County Superior Court judge to life in prison without parole in October.
“We look forward to presenting the appeal,” said Sapry’s lawyer, Mark Sisti.
No time frame for the appeal had been set as of Wednesday.
After nearly two weeks of testimony, a jury on Sept. 3 found Sapry guilty on all counts for the murder of Wilfred Guzman Sr., 58, who was killed on April 18, 2019, inside his home at 57 Blueberry Lane.
Sapry was arrested after a three-day search.
