KENNER, La. —

The Kenner Police Department is investigating after shots were fired in the city limits Wednesday morning.

Around 9:30 a.m. Kenner police officers responded to the 3600 block of Tulane Drive for a report of shots fired in the area. Advertisement

Police say there are no injuries, but residents are asked to avoid the 3600 block of Tulane and the 4200 block of West Loyola until the scene is fully secured.

According to Kenner police, the investigation does not involve federal Border Patrol agents.
