WATERLOO, Iowa — A local woman is facing up to five years in federal prison for her involvement in a drug conspiracy.

Nicole Fordyce pled guilty in April to conspiring to distribute marijuana in Waterloo over a two-year period from 2022 to 2024.

Authorities said Fordyce received the marijuana from her son through the mail. During this time, she deposited approximately $190,000 in drug proceeds into a bank used by marijuana distributors.
