FAYETTEVILLE -- This past weekend, dining rooms filled up with the typical sounds of Thanksgiving: chairs scraping closer, plates clinking and someone laughing a little too loudly as a story was retold for the fifth time. Families handled plates piled with turkey, rolls, mac and cheese, dressing and sweet potatoes, happy for a break in an otherwise hectic year.
